Eben Christian Franckewitz, 15, is a high school student from Loveland, Ohio

Eben is the youngest contestant in this year’s top 24, and according to Fox publicist Alexandra Gillespie, the youngest contestant ever.

One thing we are fairly certain of, He will continue to be known by his last name. According to media reports, He has dropped plans to be called “Eben Christian,” (his first and middle names). As he stated in a home town interview with WLW-AM radio in January: “They haven’t shown Christian on the show. I think it might confuse everyone. I’m keeping it Franckewitz.”

In 2011, Franckewitz played the title role in “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” at The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, the same place he previously played Peter Cratchit in “A Christmas Carol.”
