But it’s true and here’s why: that song just was NOT him. Joshua singing

I still stayed up all night voting 100xs for him.
“Takin’ us to CHURCH!” is the greatest achievement anyone can do. IMO.
So it didn’t matter to me that Phillip played, composed, sang, etc….though he was good, no doubt about it. We all knew he&Jessica would have awesome careers REGARDLESS.
But I just knew Joshua would win. I am stunned.
Joshua Ledet is an awesome singer and performer. This young man has a long career ahead of him. Much success to Joshua.
I’d just like to figure out why the hell I insist on watchin’ this show.It gets on my nerves forever when I see that the votation process is a joke!!Racism?Homophobia?Whatever!!! I realize that Joshua will do great things. I also know that a record label will pick him up probably before the finale. He’ll probably start doing the talk show rounds soon so I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of him. The point is that I’m pissed about Jessica’s fans because of their gamesmanship. Their behavior on these blogs has been horrible.

Besides, I know I’ve said this in one of my comments, but even if Joshua Ledet did not win the AI title, the three of them are all pretty much made. They’re all winners. It’s not like it’s the end of the line for Joshua. I wouldn’t react like you did if Jessica got eliminated because I know she can make it in the music industry with or without the AI title. I’m sure Joshua can do the same.
First of all I’m sorry for not logging on to youtube at your wish, its not like I knew WW3 was already happening here. @bakko343 You’re assuming that it’s geared towards those people, but I think it’s geared towards everyone. The people who actually vote are 18 and under girls and boys. As for R&B, pop music is pretty much R&B for the underage.
Finally, there are a lot of reasons I believe Joshua is not in the top 2 but I don’t believe it’s because his supporters didn’t vote. I’m tired of AI using that lame ass excuse because they don’t want to fix what is broken in their own house. I hadn’t watched this show for years and was only drawn back into it after seeing Joshua perform Stevie Wonder’s song. I wasn’t surprised when Joshua was eliminated because it’s the pattern that AI has set for itself…boot the talent and keep the mediocre.
This is the second part of my post.This is supposed to be American Idol why is the show allowing overseas voting? From what I gathered along the internet folks were voting from other countries, this should not be allowed. Also, robot dailing should not be allowed because it gives an unfair advantage to a particular contestant. Another point is that this show is geared toward 18 and under girls and boys, mostly white. If this is the format, why have contestants do older songs, or R&B?
I’m glad someone brought this issue up for discussion, the voting process. I’m tired of hearing folks say that maybe Joshua’s fans didn’t vote. Let’s look at some facts; many of Joshua’s fans were African Americans. But it’s statistically true that most of those homes don’t have computers. Another fact, AI allows a person to vote online up to 50 times for a contestant. If it is true that a majority of black and Hispanic households don’t own computers why is this a viable voting tool?
Also, if you weren’t one of the Filipinos acting like an idiot it’s obvious that I wasn’t referring to you. Maybe if you weren’t a Johnny-Come-Lately to this conversation, you could have been a mediator and reprimanded your countrymen to act more civilized during the course of this contest.
I don’t have to explain or apologize for anything. I’ve been called every name in the book by Filipinos who have identified themselves as such just because I supported Joshua. I tried my damnest to take the high road with these idiots but they persisted. They were mean and said vile things to Joshua’s supporters. And the better Joshua performed and the more praises he got they started hitting him hard with racist and homophobic slurs. So go look it up before you call me out!

BUT BEFORE YOU START HATING ON ME, with that said, I’m not denying that Joshua isnt good. He is good. Besides, just because he got eliminated doesnt mean its the end of the line for him. I bet he’s got record labels lining up, knocking on his door right now for all we know.
I think everyone here deserves free reign on what to say who has more talent between Joshua and Jessica. Its a free country after all. But putting other people down by saying they are racist and homophobic… that’s being drammatic and immature. Really. I think they’re both good, but IMO, I still like Jessica Sanchez more cause, come one people, you cannot deny that she does have awesome vocal chords.
you know what we cant say if half or 1/4 of the so called jessica fanbase are actually posers who just want to mess with others to place votes to the other camps…but we cant blame anyone its just that people voted hard unlike others who only watched their idol and not vote..its like top 7 all over coz people got over confident and forgot or neglected to vote thats why he was sent home…if we have to play the blame game its the joshua fans..they didnt gave votes to sustain their idol.,.sad..

Please don’t try to sale Philip and his one note type of singing. The only reason Philip is in the final 2 is because Jessica’s fan base wanted her to go against him rather than Philip and because the young girls think he’s cute and as usual they get their way on this show. More often than not great singers don’t know how to play an instrument or never compose their music but were great entertainers anyway so that means nothing. Joshua is a power house and will be successful with or without AI.
im not trying to argue your opinion, but remember that Phillip does in reality have much more artistic talent then joshua. Of course Joshua has an amazing voive, and passion, but just remember that Phillip not only plays every instroment, but he also composes his own music. Joshua can take someone to church, but Phillip is downright more talented then Joshua. Phillip deserves to win.

I’m not bitter just disappointed that young kids like Joshua who are really talented continue to get booted off this fake ass show because young kids are the ones determining the winners. Hell this is not a talent show this is a popularity contest. You don’t like Joshua did fine go listen to Jessica try to copycat another song and butcher the notes. But I’m voting and voting for Philip.
Are you new to the AI internet conversations? Otherwise, you would have seen all of the nastiness they posted and I wouldn’t have to tell you about it. Don’t believe me search for Joshua’s videos here and read through them. Then try Jessica’s and all the other contestants. And I’m not jealous of Jessica just because she remains in this lame ass contest doesn’t mean she’s the best and that is obvious since Joshua’s coming home.
