Jermaine Jones was disqualified and kicked off of the American Idol Show during Wednesday nights (Mar 14) live performance show because of a failure to disclose his criminal background.
The 25-year-old vocal instructor from Pine Hill, N.J., had already tweeted Tuesday night that he no longer would be on the show.

According to the Associated Press, Jermaine used his official “Idol” Twitter account to post “Awww I will no longer b on the show.” That post as well as Jones’ official “Idol” Twitter account were later removed.
According the news website TMZ, Jones will be kicked off the show Wednesday night after Idol producers had discovered he lied about his criminal history. According to the TMZ website, Jones was arrested twice last year and he still has outstanding warrants. He reportedly gave fake names to police both times he was arrested.
One of the incidents allegedly involved violence, according to TMZ.
