She is too cute and adorable.. Idol has done well for country starting off with Josh Gracin, of Course Miss Underwood, Kellie Pickler, to recently with Scotty and Lauren! I do have to say I still perfer Trenyce’s version from Season 2, but this is just as solid and great!! she will be very successful!

Skylar Laine…what can i say? She has an amazing country voice…but she won’t win American Idol. BUT she will get a country label signing very soon after idol, with her sounding so much like Reba but having her own style as well, she’ll make it in country…not on American Idol. She’s a great entertainer and vocalist, but not American Idol material, she’s allll country.
Skylar has the best studio voice of all 2012 Idols, hands down.
I guarantee you that within a year or two, we’re going to see her entertaining people on the country music award shows.

She is probably the only one that can go really far in the music industry.
AI doesn’t rely on the contestant’s genre but versatility and vulnerability., So once one of the contestants can hardly meet the requirements, whether they performed well and got the greatest voice on earth or didn’t, and no matter how good choice of the song, …still the scoring is versatility.

I agree with you, Skylar -and Elise- both have the cleanest and most consistent vocal control out of the girls left. But song choice is veeery important. This one, for example, isn’t doing her any favors in terms of popularity. No matter how impeccable she sings it, it is still just a boring, unmelodious song.
