Hilton Hotel, Los Angeles Airport 08 June 2012 After his meeting with Apl.de.Ap, President Benigno S. Aquino III formally convened with American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez in a courtesy call in Hilton Hotel, Los Angeles Airport. The President told Jessica that Filipinos back home had unimaginably supported her during the voting for the next American Idol. They also discussed Ms. Sanchez’s planned visit to the Philippines after the American Idol Tour in July to September ends. President Aquino joked that Jessica has to learn few Tagalog words if she is preparing for a trip to her mother’s country of birth. He gave a yellow souvenir baller ID wristband to Jessica with a “PNoy” engraving. The American Idol runner-up expressed her utmost gratitude to the President and all her Filipino fans who believed in her talent. She is so excited and eager to fly to the Philippines the soonest possible time. The sixteen-year old singer was joined by her mother, Editha Sanchez and her relatives from Chula Vista, San Diego, California. ***
