Thanks LuneyTune72 for recognizing some of the best female artists in the music world. I realize that there are a lot of women who have made it in this business but I do believe it is much harder for them than it is for men. I was pointing out how difficult it is when a female rock musician is on stage with other men rock musicians. They definitely take a back seat to the men.
Joe Perry? Haha, he’s alright but Orianthi definitely has earned her place. She is not known for any hits but I don’t think she’s really trying for that. She’s a pulling a Steve Vai where she is technically magnificent and only cares about bettering her skills. She has every right to play with Alice. And you know what? He picked her!
Rock n roll is a male dominated field but it has had it’s share of hard rocking women like Joan Jett, Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Sandy West, Lita Ford, Donita Sparks, Dale Bozzio, Pat Benatar, Patti Smith, Suzi Quatro, Nina Hagen, Mariska Veres, Carole Pope, and many more.

Sorry to disappoint you but I’ve been a singer/songwriter & jazz guitarist for 55 years. I lived in Woodstock, NY in the 70s & met many great musicians including Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield & the great John Lennon. I do know what good music is. I also know that in the music business it is very hard for a white female guitarist to be recognized. It’s a male dominated field. Orianthi & other females will soon change all of that. And it doesn’t take a stroke of genius to write a good song.
I guess my point hits home lol. Look kid, go back to your mom’s basement and play more guitar hero. It won’t help your IQ but maybe you will think that it makes you a better guitarist or smarter somehow.
your absolutely joking right. The guys on stage have written some of the greatest rock records of all time. Orianthi is a great player, but she hasn’t written any original material worthy enough to be considered classics. U clearly dont understand that in music song writing > technical ability. Anyone can be a sound technical player with dedication n play other musician’s songs well but to create n write great original music requires a stroke of genius.
Well I can only assume that your inability to grasp even the most basic facets of the English language in its written form will translate into a similar ineptitude when attempted vocally.

Orianthi is a big Alice fan and added a lot to last year’s tour. I am glad she is back and she is learning from some real pro’s.
Why did Cooper even bother turning up?
Orianthi has earned nothing. She has no place in a rock band like Alice Cooper and is ruining the shows.
Although I’m not the biggest Aerosmith fan, Joe Perry is by far and away the best guitarist on this stage and Alice would be the first to admit it.
